AUTHENTICATIONS

The Philippine Consulate General notarizes and authenticates public documents for use in the Philippines.

Certifications/authentication of Chinese documents such as birth certificate, marriage certificate, business registration license, health certificate, contracts, etc., require prior notarization by the Chinese Notary Public Office and authentication by the Chinese Foreign Affairs Office, except for Employment Contracts of Filipino nationals which should be checked first by the Consulate before notarization by the Chinese Notary Public Office and authentication by the Chinese Foreign Affairs Office.

NOTARIALS

Notarials are made on affidavits and other sworn statements executed by Filipinos and Foreigners before a Consular officer in the Consulate General. Passports and relevant documents may be required by the Consular Officer.

Please note that all documents issued in the Philippines have to be authenticated by the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs e.g. Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Death Certificate, Certificate of No Marriage, etc., to have legal implications in China or in other countries.
