SHANGHAI, 22 March 2025 – Filipino community members and business people from around Shanghai and neighboring provinces interested in generating more income and exploring business opportunities in the Philippines converged at the Kapihan sa Hapon, Talk and Mixer event held at the posh Xuhui District of Shanghai.
Organized by the Filipino Community Shanghai (FilComSha) and Philippine Chamber of Business & Professionals Shanghai (PhilChamSH), with the support of the Philippine Consulate General, together with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC-Shanghai) and Philippine Department of Tourism Office (PDOT-Shanghai), the event featured guest presenters Commercial Consul Jose Ma. S. Dinsay and Tourism Attaché Ireneo H. Reyes who gave talks on Philippine Government programs in support of MSMEs, how to start a business in the Philippines and business opportunities in the Philippine tourism industry.
FilComSha President Ms. Michelle Teope-Shen and PhilChamSH President Mr. Joe Santiago welcomed the attendees and thanked the guest presenters for taking the time to share their knowledge and expertise with the Filipino Community and other stakeholders.
2025 is an important year as it marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China. It is hoped that this events and other events organized by the Philippine Consulate General and Filipino Community will serve as a springboard towards greater cooperation between the two countries and another 50 years of prosperity and dynamic relations.
