Shanghai, 31 October 2021 – Discover and understand why smart and forward- thinking investors have grown in tandem with the Philippines’ sustained economic rise, at the PHILIPPINE INVESTMENT FORUM slated at 14:00 P.M.-17:30 P.M. on Friday, 05 November 2021, at the Parkyard Hotel Shanghai (699 Bibo Road, Zhangjiang Hi- Tech Park, Pudong New District, Shanghai).
The event is organized jointly by the Philippine Consulate General, Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC), Philippine Department of Tourism, with the support of Parkyard Hotel and in coordination with the Zhangjiang Group Co. Ltd., administrator of Zhangjiang Science City (ZSC), China’s answer to Silicon Valley.
Bringing together the C-Level executives and representatives of enterprises at the Zhangjiang Science City (ZSC) as well as those from Shanghai, the Yangtze River Delta Region and other parts of China, PIF 2021 will train the spotlight on the tremendous business opportunities and expansive investment options in the Philippines.
The Philippines has stood out over the past decade for its sustained, vibrant economic renaissance that has outpaced its peers and even long-standing Asian powerhouses. Two years since the outbreak of the pandemic, the Philippines emerges on the strength of a robust economic rebound, with greater resilience. Sound economic management; leaps in infrastructure development; a huge consumer base with rising incomes combine with an educated, skilled and youthful population to drive a thriving economy of infinite potential.
PIF 2021 will train the spotlight on promising investment sectors and areas for partnerships. For the high-tech companies in the ZSC, PIF promises to make clear viable and attractive pathways for rewarding investments via tech startups, venture capital funding, market complementation and other synergies.
Gracing and addressing the event shall be Philippine Ambassador to China H.E. Jose Santiago L. Sta. Romana, Consul General in Shanghai Josel F. Ignacio, Zhangjiang Group Party Secretary and Chairman Yuan Tao, the Philippines’ crack team of Trade and Agriculture Attachés in China, and virtually from Manila, ranking officials of the Department of Trade and Industry led by the Honorable Secretary of Trade and Industry Ramon M. Lopez.
Mirroring the Filipino peoples’ matchless ability to blend focused entrepreneurship with a zest for life, PIF attendees are in for a unique culture and gustatory experience as well. The Forum will feature a sumptuous repast of popular Filipino dishes and snacks especially arranged by Parkyard Hotel for participants to enjoy.
The PIF takes place on the sidelines of the 4th China International Import Expo, and represents the Philippine Country Team in Shanghai’s show of support for this major event in China and Shanghai’s annual events calendar. END
