Shanghai, 15 October 2021 – Economic Officer Consul Conrado Demdem, Jr., Commercial Vice Consul Mario Tani and Attaché Ronaldo Villanueva visited Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer ENovate’s R&D Center on 14 October, upon the invitation of Executive Vice President for Operations Mr. Brian C. Keng of PH firm Century Peak Holdings Corp.

Century Peak and Enovate have entered into a joint venture for the supply of 20,000 EV units to the Philippines and the installation of EV charging stations, initially in the National Capital Region and Cavite.

Accompanied by ENovate Finance Manager Ms. Bonnie Li, the Consulate General’s team were toured around the sprawling 200,000-square meter R&D facility in Jiading District -- home to China’s largest and most advanced automobile industry chain. They were shown ENovate’s more popular electric vehicle models---the ME7 and ME5----and the prototype fully-electric ME-Sports.

An EV startup founded in 2015, Shanghai-based ENovate combines the concepts of clean energy and clean environment with its business philosophy of “designing cars for the customers, not for the company”. END
