The public is informed of the eight-step guide for returning overseas Filipino worker (OFWs) and overseas Filipinos (OFs) upon arrival in the Philippines

Electronic Case Investigation Form (e-CIF) and Swab Testing

  • All returning OFWs are strongly encouraged to register and fill out the electronic Case Investigation Form (e-CIF) at https://e-cif.redcross.org.ph/ prior to their scheduled arrival in the Philippines to secure their own code for the COVID-19 RT-PCR Testing to be administered by the Philippine Red Cross.

  • For returning OFs, COVID-19 testing may be administered by private testing facilities located at each terminal in the airport. All returning OFs are requested to accomplish the e-CIF of their chosen private testing facility upon arrival at the airport.

Release of Swab Test Results

  • Kindly note that while the results will be released within 72 hours, delays may be experienced due to the rise of COVID-19 positive cases in the Philippines.

General Reminders

  • All returning OFWs and OFs are kindly requested to secure a valid and active email address and mobile number prior to arrival in the Philippines for easier transaction upon arrival at the airport.

  • Should there be any special concerns regarding the arrival of returning Filipinos, especially distressed OFs requiring medical support or other urgent assistance, kindly inform the DFA Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs (OUMWA) at least 48 hours prior to arrival in the Philippines for coordination with partner government agencies.
