IMPORTANT ADVISORY TO ALL
VISA APPLICANTS
Subject: Non-Machine Readable Travel Document
The Consulate General of the Philippines in Shanghai informs the public that the Philippine Bureau of Immigration (BI) shall no longer allow the entry of foreign nationals holding non-machine readable passports/travel documents in all international airports and seaports by the 1st Quarter of 2017.
In this regard, the Consulate shall no longer accept visa applications from applicants holding non-machine readable passports/travel documents effective 01 October 2016.
This directive applies to all types of passports including ordinary, official, diplomatic and/or service documents except for temporary travel documents designed for emergency situations per ICAO guidelines.

菲律宾驻上海总领事馆谨对外通知如下：
截至2017年第一季度，菲律宾移民局将不再允许持非机读护照/旅行证的外籍公民从各国际机场及口岸入境菲律宾。
特此，从2016年10月1日起，总领事馆将不再受理持非机读护照/旅行证的申请人的签证申请。
上述规定适用于各类护照，包括因私普通护照、因公护照、外交护照和/或公务护照，根据国际民用航空组织（ICAO）规定的紧急情况下的临时旅行证件除外。
请悉知并遵照执行。
